Overview

Dr. Edward J. Kaplan is a board-certified radiation oncologist who received his medical degree from Albany Medical College and performed his internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He completed his radiation oncology residency at Mt. Sinai, New York, and his his research fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. There, he trained under Dr. Gerald Hanks, a highly respected leader in radiotherapy for prostate cancer. Following his fellowship, Dr. Kaplan joined the faculty at Cornell University Medical College, where he served as an assistant professor in radiation oncology. Dr. Kaplan’s passion is working as a physician-scientist to promote the development of a host of breakthrough cancer treatments. Dr. Kaplan was selected by his peers as one of Florida’s best doctors,  appearing in the Castle Connolly Top Doctor’s list, 2008 - present.
