Overview
Antoinette (Annie) Stair, APRN-C, earned her AS in nursing in December 2000 and went on to work in emergency medicine, critical care and eventually radiation oncology at Wellington Regional Medical Center.
After her own breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, Annie decided she wanted to be a greater advocate for her patients and returned to school for her BSN followed by her master's degree. Annie graduated from South University in 2016 with Honors and was invited to join Sigma Theta Tau.
Breast cancer fundraising is a big part of Annie’s life after diagnosis and helps her stay in touch with the many friends and survivors she has met along the way. Her family has sponsored an annual fundraising event, donating an estimated $50,000 to the Komen Foundation and Bosom Buddies 501c over the last decade.
Fiercely dedicated to the advocacy of her patients and believing everyone should understand and embrace their individual journey, Annie truly enjoys being part of the cancer treatment process.
When she is not advocating for her patients, Annie loves traveling, reading, music, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She is married with twin sons, two dogs, and three cats.
