Dr. Jose Chamorro, MD is a urologist practicing in Coral Gables, FL. With extensive experience in all types of urological conditions, Dr. Chamorro is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Urologic Association, Florida Urological Society and the American Lithotripsy Society. With extensive experience in treating all types of conditions impacting both male and female patients, he takes a personalized and compassionate approach to care.
After obtaining his medical degree at The Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, Dr. Chamorro went on to complete two residencies in surgery at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and a residency in urology at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
With special expertise in kidney cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer, Dr. Chamorro has held multiple clinical leadership positions at Coral Gables Hospital, Miami, FL including Chief of Surgery, Chief of Urology and Chairman of the Tissue Committee, as well as Chief of Urology at Mercy Hospital, Miami, FL.
He is on staff at Coral Gables Hospital, Bayside Ambulatory Center and HCA Florida Mercy Hospital.
