Dr. Edward Grendys shares a belief that all women with suspected or diagnosed gynecologic cancer should have the access to the most modern treatment options available. This access has been demonstrated to increase the likelihood of significantly improved outcomes including overall survival and quality of life.
He earned his doctorate of medicine at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, residency training at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes, Chicago, IL and Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Georgetown University, Washington, DC. Prior to joining Florida Gynecologic Oncology he held a faculty appointment at the National Cancer Institute designated H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Florida and has published over 100 articles, abstracts, book chapters, and national poster presentations.
With over 25 years of clinical expertise, Dr. Grendys has extensive experience in the treatment of gynecologic malignancy ranging from minimally invasive surgery, radical pelvic/abdominal surgery and the most up to date treatment strategies including chemotherapy.
With a treatment approach emphasizing compassion, dignity and quality of life he believes in active collaboration with the patient in all surgical and treatment decisions. As the Director of Clinical Research, and nationally recognized clinical investigator patients are assured the most clinically up to date treatment modalities including potential participation in clinical trials.
